You've chosen your section, you’ve registered for your costume (if not, you know where to go – right here) and you’ve booked off the day after bank holiday off to recover. What’s next?

Get ready fi di road and commit to your section from tip to toe, starting with your nails! We've created five simple designs to recreate on the bank holiday weekend, or to add some sparkle to your work day before yuh hit the road this summer.

Iris

What you'll need

• Black nail polish

• Gold nail polish

• Purple nail polish

• Metallic green nail polish

• Sponge

How to

1. Start by painting a black base coat.

2. Once dry, paint a layer of the purple nail polish onto the sponge, and lightly press onto the nail in a random fashion.

3. Repeat step two with the green and gold polish.

Ivy

What you'll need

• Nude nail polish

• Gold nail polish

• Green nail polish with a thin brush

• Sponge

How to

1. Start with the nude nail polish as a base coat.

2. Paint the gold nail polish onto the sponge and lightly press onto your nail.

3. Once dried, use the green nail polish to draw a small, thin, vertical line a quarter way into the nail. Then, draw a horizontal line near the top of the nail to cross.

Baccara

What you'll need

• Black nail polish

• Silver nail polish

How to

1. Start with the silver nail polish as a base coat.

2. Starting two thirds down the nail, paint the black nail polish on a diagonally across the top of your nail.

Step 2

3. Repeat on the other side and fill any gaps.

Chloris

What you'll need

• Nude nail polish

• White nail polish with thin brush

• Green nail polish with thin brush

• Dotting tool or toothpick

How to

1. Start with the nude nail polish as a base coat.

2. Using the dotting tool or toothpick, create a rough square in the white polish, using eight dots.

Step 2

3. Join the dots in the centre with the thin brush and white polish to create a flower.

4. Add some flair with the thin brush of the green polish - this could be leaves (created using two elongated semi circles) or swirls on each of the nails.

1. Start with the coral nail polish as a base coat.

2. Using the dotting tool or toothpick, add two gold dot at the base of the nail - done!
